Electric Picnic 07: My Must See Timetable...
I was interested to see Nialler9's Ruff Guide to EP, it's always interesting to see what others are rating highly in the line up.
So here is my current timetable, based on the leaked schedule because the up to dat official schedule has not appeared yet... ffs.
Anyway - red and blue items are what I definitely want to make it along to. Red is my top riority, and blue is my second priority. Grey items are items that were part of my priorities but had to be relegated due to timetable clashes. Some of the clashes I'm still torn about, but this is my hypothetical list anyway. I may be swayed by my mood or by who is going to various gigs.
But this gives you an idea of who I am recommending for the Festival anyway.
There's a table for each day, ordered by time, from early in the day (top) to late at night (bottom).

Promote Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip to red...heard a blistering review of their latest show online!
Jim Carrol was talking about the '3 Song Rule'....where you just stay for 3 songs of any act unless you are manic to see them...that way you get to see a whole lot more.

Good to know - I was wondering about Scroobius vs UNKLE... that's my decision verified now
Jim Carrol - oi mate, NO. I hate that running around catching snatches of this and bits of that. Call me old fashioned by I need to *be* there and do the whole set - unless of course it's just not doing it for you, like Rufus Wainright last year who I was really looking forward to and then left after a handful of songs as I was dying of boredom.
That's why I did my schedule up, so I could avoid all the dithering and legging it about the place.
Good the Bad and the Queen vs Bjork and Nouvelle Vague vs Beastie Boys mic set are two decisions that are still KILLING me.

em....rumour has it that the reason that the Official Timetable isn't out yet (12 hours before the festival starts...) is because the Beastie Boys have cancelled, leaving 2 massive holes to fill.
Aslan anyone?
