Tom Waits Tickets? Not a chance.
There I was, finger on my mouse button from quarter to nine - at nine am on the dot I saw the tickets become available. I went for the Thursday night show since I figured it might be less trafficked than the Wednesday or the Friday (Friday being Friday and Wednesday being the night a lot of links went to by default).
I entered the captcha, got the searching graphic... for EIGHT minutes before it threw up an error... aaaarrrrghhh...
Ok don't panic, search again, I went through this for Leonard Cohen and got great tickets...
Ok, search for 2 tickets, best available... read the captcha word... WAIT A MINUTE!
No tickets available.
Think I have a case for emotional damage?
Luckily a friend of mine got two tickets and kindly offered the second ticket to me, so I still get to go to Tom Waits. Phew!
UPDATE: Looks like TicketMaster staggered the release of tickets and there are actually still tickets available now for all nights, at time of writing...

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
ich wende mich mit einer ungewöhnlichen (?) großen Bitte an Sie. Ich bin ein großer Fan des Singers/Songwriters Tom Waits. Ich hatte gehofft, dass ihn seine Europa-Tour 2008 auch nach Berlin führen wird. Da das leider nicht der Fall sein wird, möchte ich gern seine(n) Auftritt(e) in Dublin besuchen. Ich wurde 1942 in Berlin geboren und lebte in der DDR, hauptsächlich aus diesem Grunde sind meine Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache miserabel. Alle Versuche, per Internet zu buchen, schlugen leider fehl. Auch hier anwesende Jugendliche konnten nicht helfen. Daher meine Bitte an Sie, könnten Sie mir behilflich sein, eines der sehr begehrten Tickets für Dublin zu erhalten -->...The European dates The European schedule opens in Spain's San Sebastian on Saturday 12th July and finishes in Dublin on Saturday 1st August..." <--. Es wäre wunderbar, wenn es für eines der drei Konzerte in Dublin 30.08., 31.08 bzw. 01.08 klappen könnte.
Wenn Sie nicht selbst tätig werden dürfen oder können, wissen Sie vielleicht einen Weg, mich glücklich zu machen?
