Paul Simon at the Marquee, Cork 2008
So Paul Simon is playing Live at the Marquee. I've been so out of the loop lately I didn't even hear until a few weeks back. The official line is that tickets are sold out, and several people told me they were, but a quick check on Ticketmaster seems to show tickets still available. Not great tickets, obviously, but tickets all the same.
I was tempted to get tickets, but it's expensive enough and there are just too many great gigs this Summer and I'm already going to too many of them!

I went to Paul Simon and he was absolutely fab, you missed a great one. The crowd were a bit ignorant when he was singing any new stuff but he belted out all the old hits too... Mrs Robinson, Graceland, etc etc. Sound of Silence blew everyone (and I mean everyone, 15 to 85 age range in the crowd!) away. Boy does he still have the moves for fifty years gigging! Bit disappointed to only see one crowd selling merchandise, just a few t-shirts... why didn't anyone have the new almbum for sale? He'd have shifted loads. Big up to the marquee for a great night....
