Oxegen Over... :(

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Well, that's it, Oxegen is now officially over. I didn't go, so I don't know what it was like. Lili Forberg has some cool photos she took at Oxegen, and will probably post more soon and Una Rocks has her round up of Oxegen, and I'm sure it's just a matter of recovery time before the 'YouTubery' begins... :)

So now the countdown to Electric Picnic truly begins. You can grab one of our free countdown timers for your blog or website here!

Also, you might want to check out this t-shirt - perfect for Electric Picnic.

Radio Fame!

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

Anyone hear me on the Indie Hour (103.2 Dublin City Anna Livia FM) chatting to Aoife tonight?

Being on the radio is weird!

I got cut off too - I think it was because I was shite-ing on too much... ha ha ha... no unfortunately I think it was down to how crap mobile phones are. I really wish we had a world without mobile phones, I don't have the balls to just dump my own. :D

Anyway Aoife's dead sound, I'd like to thank her for bringing me on the show and letting me tell people about FestivalShirts... she was really enthusiastic about the t-shirts too which was encouraging.

If you're not in Dublin (ireland), Aoife's show 'the Indie Hour' can be listened to on a live stream on the internerd, every Thursday from 9-10pm.

And if you found the site as a result of hearing the show, welcome! And the answer to the draw for the free t-shirt can be found on this page :)

I can’t wait to get home (and blog about this)

Then this t-shirt is especially for you. C'mon be honest - how many times has your mind wandered from where you are to how you will write about it when you get home and how many people will read about it, and how many comments you'll get, and so on...

I know because I'm guilty as charged :D

Click here to view colours and t-shirt styles and prices and all that malarkey.

Don't forget you can win a free t-shirt!

Oxegen Nearly Here!

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Oxegen is nearly upon us, and the organisers are letting people know about some of the stuff that will be available other than music.

The thing that caught my eye was Campsite Karaoke. I'm a big fan of Karaoke, and Campsite Karaoke sounds like a great idea! Er... as long as it's not too near your tent when you're trying to go to sleep that is...

It's apparently provided by Coca Cola, who also provide another genius idea: ClashFinder. No, not a hunt for the late great Joe Strummer, but a way to organise your timetable of who you want to see, and even get text alerts when your favourite bands are due on stage.

Apparently Ambre Solaire will also be at hand to protect you from the blazing sunshine everybody's hoping for, and there will also be a service providing lockers to keep valuables in. Why you'd bring valuables to a festival I don't know, but there you go!
