Go and vote, despite it all.

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Vote for me!Who was it said that no matter who you vote for the government always win?

Also who said that politicians are a bunch of lying scumbags?

I don't know, but this t-shirt from La Fraise would have been a good one to be wearing these past few weeks.

Roughly €25 delivered.

Despite all my reservations about the available candidates I found a couple worth voting for...

Chemical brothers at Electric Picnic 2007!

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Yup, the Chemical brothers have confirmed their place in the Electric Picnic line up for 2007.

Chemical Brothers are one of those bands I know that I know them but have no idea who they are. If you're like me, they're the ones that did 'Block Rocking Beats'. If you're anywhere as old as I am you know it.

Here's another choon of theirs, with a mind boggling video mix of lo-tech and hi-tech from Michel Gondry (the bloke who directed the recent 'Science of Sleep'):

A little jar of sunlight...

Sun Jar

How about this for another must-have-thing to lug to a festival - a Sun Jar! You could leave it outside your tent (and... er... hope no one steals it) and it would light up at night to welcome you 'home'.

Unfortunately you can only buy online if you are in the UK. They will deliver to overseas, but you need to contact them directly. £20 sterling, delivered, for those in the UK.

I want one!

Smile! It's a retro t-shirt!

Monday, May 21st, 2007

ASOS t-shirtThis is not one of our t-shirts, but it's simple, fun design and it's colour scheme fits so well with our ethos I thought I would share it with you!

This smiley t-shirt comes from ASOS.com, which I think stands for 'As Seen On Screen' because the site helps you dress like the stars. Or something. Anyway, I don't know what celebrity has been seen wearing this beauty, but who the hell cares about that anyway?

The t-shirt will set you back about €30, delivered, if you're in Ireland (£20.50 sterling).

I particularly like the style tips that the site gives you on the t-shirt page, for example:

Wear with skinny jeans and cons for laid back retro

Anyone care to tell me what 'cons' are?

See you at the main stage front left by the speakers.

Last year at Electric Picnic, I don't know how many times I said this. Countless times. I imagine it's said gazillions of times at each festival worldwide.

So what's my point? Buy my latest t-shirt of course!!!!

It won't be as good as last year.

!!! (Chk Chk Chk)

Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

This band are a pain in the ass to tell people about. You try saying to someone 'have you heard Chk Chk Chk?'. 'Bless you' is the most likely response.

However it was their unusual name that made me Google them and discover their website, and it was their cool website that made me go and buy their album.

There's a lot of acts playing Electric Picnic this year that I either don't know at all or only know one or two songs, so I'm trying to educate myself before going along so that I can make a plan rather than running from stage to stage trying to figure out who's good.

The album turned out to be really good, so these guys will definitely be on my 'don't miss' list.
